The Leadership Team

The Leadership Team consists of the Executive Officers, Board of Directors (Committee Chairs), and our Youth and County Representatives. Our leaders, members, and volunteers perform a lot of function on a voluntary basis, working together for our cause and to serve our community.

If you would like to serve with us by joining the leadership team or volunteer on some of the committees and events, please reach out to us. We are also looking for mentors, trainers, and presenters on future events for topics related to entrepreneurship, business development, professional development, etc.

Mary Navalta-Chavan


Mary Navalta-Chavan

Mary was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in International Tourism, major in Hospitality Management and minor in Entrepreneurship.

Mary’s first business was a music school in Cavite, Philippines, when she was only 16 years of age.

Mary is the CEO and founder of Prajekpro mobile application in the Philippines.
Prajekpro is a platform for Filipinos to showcase, advertise, and capitalize on their skills and knowledge.

Mary is the Owner of Altavan Foods LLC; under the umbrella are, a casual fast-food restaurant called Spiced Chix located in Roy City, Utah. A catering company in Salt Lake City called Royal Dosa, and a High-end seafood coastal restaurant pop-up named MEENA.

Mary is also the CEO and founder of Royal Copper & Gifts LLC, an e-commerce business.

Mary has a non-profit in the Bicol region of The Philippines, supporting local kids with their school supplies.

Mary was just crowned as Miss World Elite Utah- Philippines. She was awarded as Best Talent where she showcased her singing prowess. She was also awarded as Best Costume when she wore a mixed Traditional costume to represent multi-racial families.

Mary firmly believes in doing good for mankind and inclusivity.

Mary volunteers for the Red Cross and Volunteers of America. She is also a supporter of LGBTQIA+- nonprofit called Queens of the Castro. Queens of the Castro provides multi-year scholarships to LGBTQIA+- youth in San Francisco, CA.

Katherine Harkness


Katherine Harkness

Katherine has been a resident of Utah for more than 13 years now. She was born and raised in the Philippines and have lived in Nueva Ecija, Vigan, Cebu, and Las Pinas.

She graduated with B.S. in Computer Science from PLM (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila). She has been a student leader growing up, holding various class officer positions in elementary and highschool to leading the Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS) as a Finance/IT Director on national level and as the President of the JPCS-PLM chapter during college.

Katherine is currently a Software Quality Assurance & Testing professional and leader and an Agile and Quality Advocate who is very passionate about building quality in software products and processes as well as customer success. She has advocated and have been involved in many programs and employee groups that help encourage more women and minorities to get into the Tech industry, help start or improve on diversity/inclusion/belonging in the workplace, help promote awareness, education, and support for different cultures and communities especially the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) and LGBTQ+ as well as causes for women and children, mental health, etc.

Katherine is married and has two children. She enjoys food, reading, and spending time with family as they travel, go jeeping, and explore the outdoors. They have their small family business The Jeep Guy LLC where they fix and build up jeeps for offroading and also rescue and restore old Jeeps to add to their Jeep Museum.

Archie came from the Philippines 2001 (from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija) straight to Utah and live here since then. She is the owner of Archie’s Barbershop with locations in Layton Main St., Layton Hillfield Rd., Clinton, Farmington, and Sunset. She is also the School Director at Archie’s Academy School for Barbers

Christel Rose Alger


Christel Rose R. Alger

Christel was born and raised in Bataan, Philippines on July 23, 1988. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy in 2009 and worked in the Philippine banking industry for almost five years before moving to the US in 2014 to start her own family. She is now a full time mother of three boys and lives in Provo, Utah with her kids and her husband. In her free time, Christel likes to make desserts, hike with family, dance, take care of her plants and hang out with her husband.

Daryllyn Camading-Emerson


Daryllyn Camading-Emerson

Daryllyn was born and raised in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines.  She moved to the US 6 years ago as an exchange teacher. Daryllyn's background is in Education and leadership. She graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Education, emphasizing Chemistry at Laguna State Polytechnic University. She finished her Master's degree in Educational Management at Philippine Women University. She also has taken classes in School Leadership and Management at Harvard University. Daryllyn is currently working as an Academic Director/Principal at West Ridge Academy.

When Daryllyn is not working, she is blogging. She is the writer behind Her blog is about inspiring women to dress confidently on their 9 to 5 jobs. Furthermore, her blog is her way to connect with like-minded people. She has already worked with big companies on multiple campaigns, such as New York and Company, Venus Clothing, Banana Republic, Loft, Dollar Tree, Dunkin' Donuts, and more.

Daryllyn is happily married to her husband, Daniel Emerson, a retired US Marshall, and is now running his own company, TeachUSA. They have two children, Riley, 19, and Penelope, 3.
